چکیده
In this paper, an improvement for SC list flip (SCL-Flip) decoding is presented polar codes. A novel bit-selection metric critical set (set of information symbols codes being flipped during additional attempts) based on path successive cancellation (SCL) suggested. With the proposed metric, improved SCL scheme special nodes (SN) decoders was developed. This decoder will be denoted by GSCLF. The main idea joint using two approaches: first one a fast in binary tree representation code (e.g., some that allow efficient with low complexity) and second applying attempts (flips) case when initial erroneous. simultaneous use these approaches results both significant reduction spatial complexity number computations required whereas keeping excellent performance. Simulation paper us to conclude computational GSCLF from 66% 80% smaller than SCL-32 decoder.

Polar codes are a class of channel capacity achieving codes that has been selected for the next generation of wireless communication standards. Successive-cancellation (SC) is the first proposed decoding algorithm, suffering from mediocre errorcorrection performance at moderate code length. In order to improve the error-correction performance of SC, two approaches are available: (i) SC-List dec...
متن کاملCapacity-Achievability of Polar Codes under Successive Cancellation List Decoding
Polar codes under successive cancellation decoding proposed by Ar{\i}kan provably achieve the symmetric capacity of any given binary-input discrete memoryless channel. The successive cancellation list decoder for polar codes was described by Tal and Vardy as a generalization of the successive cancellation decoder of Ar{\i}kan. The performance of the successive cancellation list decoder is encou...

Polar codes are widely considered as one of the most exciting recent discoveries in channel coding. For short to moderate block lengths, their error-correction performance under list decoding can outperform that of other modern errorcorrecting codes. However, high-speed list-based decoders with moderate complexity are challenging to implement. Successivecancellation (SC)-flip decoding was shown...
